Why We Built This Site
Public access in Alabama depends on both the record and the office that created it. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office holds county incident and booking material, while the Circuit Clerk maintains filed charges, docket events, and dispositions. ALEA CJIS handles fingerprint-based personal criminal-history review. State prison custody belongs to the Alabama Department of Corrections, and public registration data appears through the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. We collect the verified request steps, contact details, fees, and official links for those separate channels.
What You Will Find Here
- Local court guidance: ways to search and read Pickens County criminal court cases
- Personal record review: the fingerprint-based ALEA Form 46 process and its official requirements
- Office contacts: verified routes to the sheriff, Circuit Clerk, municipal courts, and statewide record systems
- Expungement information: where eligible Alabama petitions are filed and which certified records support them
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not an Alabama court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve criminal records or perform official checks
- We cannot submit a records request, expungement petition, or court filing for a reader
- We cannot certify a court document, booking record, or criminal-history response
- We do not provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, case, or petition
- We cannot promise that an agency has not changed a fee, address, phone number, or procedure
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the sheriff, the court clerk, or ALEA CJIS.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes shown on some pages. Their own terms, pricing, data practices, and result methods apply. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports access to this resource. We do not set a partner's price or control the records it returns.
